We anticipate that there will be some limited funds to assist researchers
in participating in the ISIT 2002 in Lausanne. These funds are intended
primarily to support needy participants who have accepted contributions in
the Symposium's program and who do not have other sources of support.
The criteria we will use in granting support will be the following:
- Applicants must have a paper accepted in the program and must be the
presenting co-author.
- Applicants must not have other sources of support (through grants
or otherwise).
- Applicants must be students (with a statement from their
advisors endorsing their request and explaining the lack of other
support), young professors (with a similar letter from their department
head), or a scientist in financial need who must provide documentation
justifying the
request for such aid; this category is aimed principally at scientists from
countries that are experiencing serious economic hardship.
Application for financial aid:
- Applicants from Eastern European Countries
should submit their request along with a curriculum vitae
